When you launch a Windows instance using Amazon EC2, you can pass user data to the instance thatcan be used to perform automated configuration tasks, or to run scripts after the instancestarts. Instance user data is treated as opaque data; it is up to the instance to interpretit. User data is processed by EC2Launch v2 on WindowsServer 2022, EC2Launch on Windows Server 2016 and 2019, andEC2Config on Windows Server 2012 R2 andearlier.

Python AWS CDK applications require Python 3.6 or later. If you don't already have it installed, download a compatible version for your operating system at python.org. If you run Linux, your system may have come with a compatible version, or you may install it using your distro's package manager (yum, apt, etc.). Mac users may be interested in Homebrew, a Linux-style package manager for macOS.


An instance with an attached NVIDIA GPU, such as a P3 or G4dn instance, must have theappropriate NVIDIA driver installed. Depending on the instance type, you can eitherdownload a public NVIDIA driver, download a driver from Amazon S3 that is available only toAWS customers, or use an AMI with the driver pre-installed.


The options offered by AWS come with the necessary license for thedriver. Alternatively, you can install the public drivers and bring your ownlicense. To install a public driver, download it from the NVIDIA site asdescribed here.


Log on to your Windows instance and download the 64-bit NVIDIAdriver appropriate for the instance type from ForProduct Type, ProductSeries, and Product, use the optionsin the following table.

By downloading, you agree to usethe downloaded software only to develop AMIs for use with the NVIDIA A10G,NVIDIA Tesla T4, or NVIDIA Tesla M60 hardware. Upon installation of thesoftware, you are bound by the terms of the NVIDIA GRID Cloud End User License Agreement.


Multiple versions of the NVIDIA GRID driver are stored in this bucket. You can downloadall of the available Windows versions in the bucket by removing the-KeyPrefix $KeyPrefix option. For information aboutthe version of the NVIDIA GRID driver for your operating system, seethe NVIDIA Virtual GPU(vGPU) Software Documentation on the NVIDIA website.


These drivers are available to AWS customers only. By downloading them,you agree to use the downloaded software only to develop AMIs for use withthe NVIDIA A10G and NVIDIA Tesla T4 hardware. Upon installation of thesoftware, you are bound by the terms of the NVIDIA GRID Cloud End User License Agreement.


Multiple versions of the NVIDIA GRID driver are stored in this S3bucket. You can download all of the available versions in the bucketif you change the value of the $KeyPrefix variable from "windows/latest" to "windows".


Run the following command in PowerShell. This downloads the certification file,renames the file GridSwCert.txt, and moves thefile to the Public Documents folder on your system drive. Typically,the folder path is C:\Users\Public\Documents.


Go to read.amazon.com/notebook in a browser and open the required book. Now select the first highlight and drag the mouse to the bottom to select other highlights. Open the note-taking app of your choice and paste the highlights. You can also use web clipping tools like Evernote and OneNote.

Using the console, I searched for prefix 2022-11-08 and then selected and copied all the files to another folder. It works if there are less than 300 files. If there are a lot of files, then I have to select all files on each page and copy to another folder. This option will not work if there are a few thousand files to be downloaded.


In 2022, Amazon discontinued support for its MOBI and AZW formats but added support for EPUB, sort of. Existing MOBI and AZW files will be converted to the KF8 (.azw3) format but can no longer be emailed or sent to a Kindle library. EPUB files can be emailed or sent to a Kindle library, but they will be automatically converted to KF8 files.

There has been much interest by our users for including a minimal hash database version of the RDSv3 publication, which will reduce the size of the database and delta file downloads, by only including data that is equivalent to the old RDS 2.XX text files previously published by the NSRL. The minimal database publication mirrors the FILE, MFG, OS, and PKG views of the full publication database, but will only contain the set of FILE data that includes just distinct FILE rows (reference the minimal database schema included in the RDSv3.pdf).
